This weekend A MajorMinor Thing is back! With two brilliant up-and-coming acts that are set to rock your world.

Stentorian

They may be unwilling to admit this embarrassing fact, but Stentorian was formed when each of them was hand-picked and fitted together ala boy-band style within the dark grey walls of NTU’s engineering faculty in 2004. Starting out as a cover band, they accidentally discovered their knack for song-writing when they won best original song in Jam X 2005. With rucksacks full of diverse musical influences behind them ranging from hard rock, grunge, rap, jazz and funk, they interlaced, blended and painted a new sound to their name. Stentorian thrives on delivering the unexpected. It’s a bit like finding your favourite dark chocolate whipped cream cherry pie in a rusted gothic box. And they say that engineers are boring.

Allura

Allura was conceived in early 2007 from an unusual series of unfortunate events. Allura is a five-piece band infusing a different variety of influences, from Jazz to Alternative, from Experimental to Indie - portrayed in the form of Rock. With emotive passion and resilience, Allura pristinely resonates a unique quirky melodic tone with a prerogative crunch. Feel and embrace a new emotively refreshing sound, oozing into your senses.
